I am no celebrity but I would like to share with you, dear readers my daily essentials :) Hope you don't mind hehe. Anyway, the studded bag that you see is from Accessorize, my all time favorite store. I purchased a lot of accessories from them even if the price is quite steep because I love the design, quality and color combination of their items. It's sad though that I am on a shopping ban right now but hey, I am hoping that in a month or two, I shall be back with a vengeance :) So, let's move on to the contents shall we? I don't like lugging around a heavy bag because it hurts my shoulders but sometimes I can't help it. I tried to eliminate the stuff I don't really need and this is the best I can do...I always make sure to have my umbrella because I commute.(I don't have a car yet because I am still saving for one) I love that the color is green especially now that it's summer. The pouch contains all my cosmetics which I will show you the contents later on. I also have my cute animal print coin purse given by my sister as a Christmas gift about two years ago. The Nine West black wallet with a chain holder was a gift for myself last year :) I also make it a habit to bring alcogel (CLEENE - for the nice scent) because I am OC like that when it comes to hygiene :) The black leather holder which is always mistaken as a wallet is actually my passport and ID holder. I normally do not bring this one, but I went to Robinson's Otis to get my NBI Clearance when this photo was taken . The beautiful beaded bracelet on top of it was given by someone special :) I usually bring at least 2 accessories whenever I go out in case of emergency (you know what I mean with emergency right? unplanned meetup with friends of couse) Lastly, the white hair clipper with studs was given by my mom and I always bring it with me especially now that Mr. Sun is extra active. I have a long hair and tying it up helps me ease the scorching heat nowadays.
Meanwhile, here are my makeup investments. I use Laura Mercier's oil free foundation for special events only because I want to maximize the price hehe. I love love love...I can't emphasize enough how much I love this product to bits because this is the only liquid foundation that doesn't make my skin breakout. Plus, the coverage is insanely very good. You can apply little on your face for a light coverage and just add a bit more if you have an uneven skin tone or pimple scars to hide. For regular use, I go for the Kanebo fair Crea white Powder Foundation with SPF 28. It's also costly for Php2400 but it lasts longer that the liquid foundation. What's great about this product is that it's a two way face powder, meaning you can just wet the sponge a bit and dab it on the powder for more coverage or you can just use it as a regular face powder during the day. For concealer, I also use Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage in SC-5. Sometimes, when I'm in a rush, I apply it, blend and I'm ready to go. The smallest square container is my blush-on, also from the same brand and the shade is called sweet nectarine. From the word itself, you can get an idea that it's a peachy coral shade. Which reminds me, that I am also looking for a nice pink blush that will fit brown/tan skinned gals like me. Any suggestions??? I might get the the Laura Mercier Lotus Pink Blush soon though ;) The four lipsticks you can see are mostly from Mac and one of them is from IN2IT, a well known Asian brand. I already blogged about this on my last post. You can view it here. For my eyebrows, I use the MAC brow gel in Beguile and for my eyeliner it's Maybelline smooth liner in brown. I also have a black one, but I prefer the brown one most of time especially during the day to make my look more soft and well daytime appropriate. The brushes inside the round container have been with me for almost five years now. They are from Nars, Smashbox, Seush and again Laura Mercier. I invest in makeup brushes because they help smoothen out your makeup. Simply put, they make the life of makeup artists easier. Lastly, the eyeshadows I use are from Urban Decay and Mac. I am planning to get more palettes from the former because they are cheaper than Mac but the quality is almost the same. The black palette was customized by me from the Mac website. I had it delivered to my sister based in New York to avoid paying extra for tax. The brown palette is the famous Naked One from Urban Decay.
By the way, have you noticed that I don't have an eyelash curler and mascara in my kit? I just realized it now, lol I'll make sure to buy one soon. I am sure to purchase the curler from Shu Uemura but haven't decided which brand to get for the mascara. Please do leave suggestions if you have any.
Hope you like my post today. Have a wonderful weekend everyone
